Larsen Campaign Statement on John Koster Announcement

Everett, WA – Rick Larsen welcomes the opportunity to defeat John Koster for a second time. But now, Rick remains laser-focused on improving the economy in Western Washington.

The time for a spirited campaign will come.

Rick Larsen's number one priority is reducing unemployment and creating jobs in Washington state's 2nd District. He has been unending in his effort to land the Air Force Tanker for Boeing workers to create thousands of local jobs in the northwest. He knows that Washington state aerospace workers are the best in the world and that Washington has the infrastructure and workforce ready for the job.

And Rick voted to invest millions in our community that will create jobs and improve our local quality of life. He helped bring $5.5 million to upgrade the City of Arlington waste water treatment plant that created 50 jobs. He brought $92,000 to create a safe route to schools on Gifford Avenue in Arlington - an Avenue that Rick Larsen himself walked to and from school on. He helped bring the $750,000 that were used to build a road that now connects a Stanwood community to their local school, and $1 million to expand the Child Development Center at Naval Station Everett.

Rick Larsen is an independent problem solver in our community with a strong record of accomplishment throughout the district.
