Washington Voting Resources
Election Day is just days away, and I want to make sure you have the information you need to make your voice heard.
If you plan to use an official ballot drop box:
- Your ballot must be deposited by 8:00 p.m. on November 3.
- Ballots returned through an official drop box by that time are guaranteed to be counted. You can find your nearest drop box location through the Washington Secretary of State's website or your county elections office.
If you plan to return your ballot by mail:
- Your ballot must be postmarked by November 3 to count.
- Because recent changes to United States Postal Service transportation operations mean some mail may not receive a same-day postmark, election officials recommend mailing your ballot more than a week before Election Day. If you need to mail it closer to the deadline, you may take it to a post office and request a hand-stamped postmark.
A few additional reminders:
- Make sure you sign the return envelope. An unsigned ballot cannot be counted.
- You may check the status of your ballot at any time through VoteWA.gov.
- If you have not yet registered, you may still register online or by mail through October 26, or in person through 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
This election will shape the direction of Northwest Washington and the country for years to come. I have worked to earn your support by focusing on the issues that matter most to our communities, from lowering health care costs to delivering infrastructure investments to fighting the opioid crisis. I am eager to continue that work, and I hope I have earned your vote.
More soon,
Rick Larsen
