Washington's closest race just got closer

We need people like Marie in Congress now more than ever, but the latest polling out of Southwest Washington shows she is facing the toughest re-election among the Washington Congressional delegation.

We just got some tough news.

Inside Elections has moved our race from "Tilt Democratic" to "Toss-up."

That means one thing: This race is going to be one of the closest House races in the entire country.

National Republicans have had their eye on this seat for years because they think it's one of their best opportunities to flip a district that will determine who controls Congress.

And now, one of the top election analysts in the country is confirming what we've known all along: This race will come down to the wire.

The truth is, I've never taken anything for granted. Not in 2022. Not in 2024. And certainly not now.

We won't win automatically — not in a district this competitive. And to be honest, I wouldn't want to. I work every day to earn this district's votes because that's exactly how democracy should work.

But now, we're facing a flood of outside money that's about to pour into Southwest Washington because control of the House could come down to just a handful of seats.

That's why I'm asking for your help today.
