Two important things to remember this Election Day:

It is Primary Election Day. Today is the last day that the 5,117,470 registered voters across Washington can cast their ballots and determine the direction of our communities and our country. As you get ready to return your ballot, here are two things to remember:

1. You can either return your signed ballot via U.S.P.S. mail (no stamp needed) or at a dropbox. Ballots postmarked by Election Day will be counted.

2. You can still vote in-person. In-person services and accessible voting devices are available through your local elections office or voting center until 8:00 P.M. on Election Day.

As Americans prepare to vote this summer and in the fall, I am focused on protecting the right of every eligible citizen to cast a ballot and have that ballot counted.

Before this November, I am supporting all efforts to protect access to the ballot box, defend Washington state's secure vote-by-mail system, and ensure election officials have the resources they need to administer free and fair elections. On Election Day, I will work to stop voter intimidation and ensure polling places around the country remain open. After Election Day, I will work to ensure all ballots are counted.

Courtney, I hope to have earned your support, but regardless of who you are voting for today, thank you for participating in our democracy. Your voice matters and makes a real difference for Northwest Washington.
