I wanted you to hear it from me:
I wanted you to hear it from me: I have filed for reelection.
Representing Northwest Washington is a privilege I do not take for granted. This is home. Northwest Washington is where I was born and raised, where my family has lived for more than a century.
The values I bring to this work come from my parents. My dad was a union power line worker, and my mom managed the books while raising eight kids in Arlington. They taught me the importance of hard work, looking out for one another, and serving our community — lessons I carry with me every day in Congress, and informed my decision to run for reelection.
There is still more work to do, and working families deserve a government that is focused on lowering costs and delivering real results.
Right now, too many families are feeling squeezed. Child care, health care, gas, housing, groceries, and energy prices are simply too high. I am committed to continuing the fight in Congress to bring those costs down and ease the burden on your household.
At the same time, I will keep working to deliver for our communities here at home: investing in jobs and infrastructure across Northwest Washington, combating the threat of fentanyl and opioids by supporting our local law enforcement, and ensuring federal agencies like ICE are held to the same standards as all other law enforcement agencies.
In the months ahead, I will be traveling across Northwest Washington to listen, learn, and earn your support. I hope you will be part of this campaign. I look forward to discussing what you need from Congress to ensure that Northwest Washington continues to be a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
Thank you for your continued support.
Warmly,
Rick
