This February in review:
February was a busy month. In Congress, I demanded ICE oversight and accountability, voted to protect affordable health care, and voted to end Trump's tariffs on Canada — addressing rising costs and affordability in Northwest Washington.
I also spent time back home, in the district, listening to you and the community. At the start of the month, I toured a new development in Oak Harbor for affordable housing.

Accessible and affordable housing is a cornerstone of thriving communities, but for too many working families and veterans nationwide, housing insecurity is front of mind.
We need to tackle this head-on to ensure that everyone has a safe and affordable place to call home. Projects like the new affordable housing community in Oak Harbor are critical for Northwest Washington to tackle affordability and rising costs of living.
This month, I also secured $10.1 million in federal funding for local projects in Northwest Washington.

The federal funding will help create jobs, build community centers and strengthen infrastructure in Northwest Washington. Each investment of federal dollars here at home will serve our communities for decades to come. I will keep working closely with local leaders to make sure federal spending benefits the communities I represent.
This February, I also had the opportunity to celebrate Valentine's Day in a very special way. This year, I launched an annual Valentines for Veterans drive.

To all the women and men who have served our country, I hope they had a happy Valentine's Day, and I thank them for their service. I am glad that my office helped pass along well-wishes and gratitude to our veterans and servicemembers, and I look forward to continuing this program in the years to come.
Rick
