Protecting Washington’s environment

Last week, the Trump administration repealed the Endangerment Finding, which is the scientific determination that gives the United States government the authority to combat climate change.

Protecting Washington's environment is a top priority of mine. The Trump administration's decision to ignore established science about climate change is reckless, stupid, and dangerous.

From flooding to wildfires, Northwest Washingtonians know that climate change is real and causing measurable harm to communities across the Pacific Northwest. Just this past winter, we experienced historic and devastating flooding, which we are still recovering from. We must listen to science and protect our beautiful environment where possible.

I will continue fighting for federal dollars that protect local ecosystems and invest in clean energy and sustainable infrastructure.
