Update on Impeachment

I'm writing to update you about my stance on impeaching President Trump.

Back in July, I was the first Congressmember from Washington, and among the first in Congress to support impeaching President Trump. My reasons then had to do with his utter disrespect for the value of American citizenship.

In the last few weeks, I have grown incensed over Trump's tacit admission that he and his administration had pressured a foreign country to investigate a political rival. That is a grotesque abuse of the power of the oval office.

I want to make it crystal clear that this behavior is an unacceptable stain on our democracy, and merits President Trump's impeachment.
