Rick Larsen for Congress

Proud to have Giffords' support

On average, 96 Americans are killed with guns every day – and hundreds more are wounded by gun violence.

As your Congressman, I cannot stand idly by. It is my duty to call on members on both sides of the aisle to take responsibility for what is within our control – the law – and enact responsible gun violence prevention legislation to save lives across the country.

I am honored to be endorsed by Giffords, the gun violence prevention organization founded by former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly.

Giffords is committed to tackling our national gun violence epidemic by enacting common-sense gun safety policies, putting our communities above the interests of gun lobbies, and raising awareness about the impact of gun violence across our country. I am proud to stand among fellow members of the Washington delegation in this endorsement.

"The Members of Congress we are endorsing today acknowledge the devastating toll of our nation's gun violence crisis, and they are working to combat it. Their leadership will be critical for our next victories in Congress to save lives and prevent future tragedies. Giffords is proud to endorse Representatives Suzan Delbene, Pramila Jayapal, Derek Kilmer, and Rick Larsen, who have the courage to stand up to the corporate gun lobby and who will never stop working to make Washington communities safer." – former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords

The endorsement comes as part of Giffords' #VoteCourage Campaign to elect gun reform candidates nationwide. My campaign is grateful to receive their endorsement, along with the Alliance for Gun Responsibility Victory Fund PAC endorsement and the Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense candidate distinction.

It is within my power to champion gun safety legislation. It is in your power to vote.

Together, we can take a stand against gun violence.
