Yesterday, I filed with the elections office to continue to represent the 2nd District and strengthen our middle class here in Northwest Washington. We hope you can join our grassroots campaign. We're excited to get started.

I would also like to thank to everyone who joined us at our campaign kick-off events across Snohomish, Island, Skagit, Whatcom and San Juan counties. I am honored to represent such an engaged and dedicated community here in Northwest Washington.

My family has called this region home for over a century, and the shared values I grew up with have shaped my priorities in Congress. Being a champion of our middle class means building an economy that creates jobs, increasing access to education, protecting our environment, fighting the opioid epidemic, and ensuring our veterans have access to the care and resources they need.

Over and over again, we've seen this Administrations disregard for these values by squeezing the middle class and stripping vital resources from our communities. Enough is enough.
