Tomorrow morning, House Democrats will sign a formal petition to House Speaker John Boehner demanding that the government open immediately.With one vote, the House of Representatives could pass a bill that would open the entire government for all Americans. But we haven’t been allowed to take that vote, even though enough Republicans have said they would join Democrats to open it back up.

The Republican House leadership needs to hear from all of us right now! The Republican shutdown is reckless, irresponsible and unnecessary.

And it’s all to score political points with the most extreme Tea Party voices in Congress who only seem to care about denying health care to millions of Americans by repealing, rejecting, delaying and defunding Obamacare.
