Larsen Continues Momentum in New Poll While Koster Stalls

Everett, WA – A new King 5 poll conducted by Survey USA shows Rick Larsen leading John Koster 50% to 46%. The poll, conducted October 19th through October 21st, shows Koster is losing ground while Larsen continues his strong showing in a tough political environment, with Larsen gaining ground in several key demographics.

“The Larsen campaign is in a very strong position heading into the final stretch,” said Brooke Davis, Larsen’s Campaign Manager. “These poll numbers show that John Koster’s plan to privatize Social Security and ship American jobs overseas has no place here in Northwest Washington.”

“Rick Larsen understands that this election is about jobs and the economy. Rick wants the best aerospace workers in the world to build the next generation of Air Force Tankers here in the Pacific Northwest. He wants to invest in our manufacturing base and help small businesses gain access to credit so they can grow and hire more workers.”

Survey USA has conducted three polls in Washington state’s 2nd Congressional District. Larsen has gained 4 points since the first Survey USA poll was released September 3rd. In that same time frame Koster has lost 4 points, creating a net 8 point gain for Larsen. Larsen currently has a 14 point lead among females, a 15 point lead among seniors (age 65 +) and a 34 point lead among moderates. Larsen has also been able to close the gap with Koster among Independent voters.

Larsen’s campaign also posted strong fundraising numbers in the latest Federal Election Commission report, nearly doubling his opponent. . And Larsen’s campaign has doorbelled over 14,000 homes thru October 20th and called over 40,000 households.

All told, Larsen’s campaign continues to show strong momentum in the homestretch.
