Larsen Endorsed by Alliance for Retired Americans
Everett, WA – The Alliance for Retired Americans announced today they are endorsing Rick Larsen for Representative in the 2nd Congressional District. The Alliance for Retired Americans represents more than four million retirees, older Americans, and community activists including more than 78,456 members in Washington state.
“Your positions demonstrate a strong commitment to improve the quality of life for older Americans. Your leadership on issues such as preserving and protecting Social Security from privatization and benefit cuts exhibits that commitment,” said Barbara Easterling, President of the Alliance for Retired Americans.
“I will protect Social Security and Medicare. Washington state seniors have spent a lifetime contributing to Social Security and they are entitled to the benefits they have earned,” said Larsen. “We owe it to future generations to keep Social Security solvent; risky proposals and other cuts cannot be tolerated,” he concluded.
The Alliance for Retired Americans endorsement comes on the heels of a100% rating and endorsement for Larsen from the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare.
