Larsen Secures Strong Support from Educators in Re-Election Bid
Washington Education Association (WEA) Endorses Larsen for Re-Election
Everett, WA - The Washington Education Association (WEA) endorsed U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-02) for a sixth term in the U.S. House of Representatives.
“I am honored to have the support and confidence of Washington state educators,” said Rep. Larsen. “School districts in our state are struggling to fund critical programs and retain teachers during these tough economic times. I want to keep teachers in the classrooms and invest in our local schools. Our children deserve a high quality education that will help them grow and succeed.”
“Congressman Larsen stands up for our children by supporting the needs of public education,” said Kim Mead, member of the Washington Education Association Executive Board. “Congressman Larsen continues to be a leader for the future as shown by his constant and unwavering support for public education. He understands that investing in our youth provides the stability for our communities to continue growing stronger.”
There are 7,870 WEA members residing in the 2nd Congressional District of Washington and over 82,000 members statewide.
