Larsen Announces Bid for Re-Election to Crowd of Over 350 Supporters

Everett, WA – Congressman Rick Larsen announced that he is seeking a sixth term representing Washington state’s Second Congressional District at a Campaign Kickoff last night at the Everett Station.

"I am overwhelmed by the number of people who came out last night to support my re-election campaign. It was both humbling and encouraging to be joined by so many supporters from Island, Skagit, Whatcom, San Juan, and Snohomish Counties.

"It is clear that folks across the Second District are concerned about the same issues that I am – an unemployment rate that is still too high and the aftermath of the economic crisis that has left hardworking families and small businesses devastated and struggling to make ends meet.

"I am committed to getting people back to work, helping families hurt most by this recession and building a foundation for future economic growth that will restore our financial security and support good jobs well into the future.

"I want to thank everyone who attended my Campaign Kickoff to show their support and encouragement for my re-election campaign."

The Campaign Kickoff was attended by over 350 people from across the Second District. Before the Campaign Kickoff began, Rep. Larsen was greeted by 140 people who joined together to hold a rally in support of Rep. Larsen's re-election effort.
