Larsen Campaign Announces Strong Support from Across the Second District

"I am committed to getting people back to work, helping families hurt most by this recession and building a foundation for future economic growth that will restore our financial security and support good jobs well into the future."

Everett, WA — Rick Larsen, the U.S. Representative serving Washington’s 2nd Congressional District, announced today a list of additional local elected officials and leaders who will serve as members of his campaign kick-off host committee. “These leaders are publicly committing their support to my re-election, encouraging others to assist my re-election efforts, and specifically asking folks to attend my campaign kick-off event today in Everett,” Larsen said. “My host committee reflects strong geographic diversity of support for my campaign,” he continued.

As the Representative serving Washington’s 2nd district, Larsen’s priorities continue to be focused on creating jobs, holding Wall Street accountable and helping seniors with Medicare prescription drug costs.

“Small businesses in our community are struggling to stay afloat. I’ve visited numerous small businesses and manufacturers in my district who are fighting their way out of the recession. I want to help them. I want to see the ‘Made in America’ label again. I will do all I can to spur economic growth and help our businesses create jobs in our area,” said Larsen.

“Middle class families across Northwest Washington are still devastated by this economic crisis. Hardworking folks lost their jobs, retirement savings and homes through no fault of their own while Wall Street played with their futures. I am committed to getting people back to work, helping families hurt most by this recession and building a foundation for future economic growth that will restore our financial security and support good jobs well into the future,” Larsen concluded.
